Location: London Oxford Circus Head Office (4 days a week in office, 1 day from home)

Contract: 15 months maternity cover, ideally starting end of May/ beginning of June '26

Salary: £40,500 per annum plus benefits

The Role

As our Management Accountant, you will work with the Senior Management Accountant to ensure the accurate and timely production of the monthly management accounts and management information. Reporting directly into the Senior Management Accountant, this position is an integral role in the Gaucho Finance Department. Working closely with the Operations and General Managers across the estate, you will be the Accountant lead and brand guardian for all GM’s queries around P&Ls. 

This role will be responsible for driving journal and reconciliation accuracy, and ensuring each restaurant has the tools and support to achieve its growth objectives. Acting as the key link between the restaurant Management teams and the London head office, you will play a critical role in supporting continued brand growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of month end journals including accruals and prepayments for multi-site accounts
• Investigation into variances to budget for various P&L lines
• Accounting for Deferred revenue and supplier retros
• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations ensuring balances are correct and any differences investigated
• Produce monthly restaurant P&Ls and answer related queries
• Maintaining the fixed asset register. Assisting with annual budgeting and re-forecasting 
• Liaising with other departments providing support when necessary 
• Assist with continuous process improvement
• Additional ad hoc reporting when required

 

About You

We are looking for someone enthusiastic, a good communicator and has an interest in the hospitality industry ideally working towards an accounting qualification.

 The ideal candidate

• Previous management accountant experience essential
• Part qualified accountant – sitting exams
• Recent experience of multi-site experience either hospitality, retail or leisure. Must be multi-site brand experience.  
• Knowledge of MS Office and advanced Excel skills. Sage 1000 experience would be advantageous
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Confident relationship-builder who can engage and inspire internal teams 
• Excellent attention to detail. Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
